The New Quote feature in Flatbed Messenger allows you to get a quote instantly and book with Loadsmart’s brokerage. After creating a quote, you can instantly book and track a shipment with Loadsmart directly on the platform. This article will cover how to create a new quote and book an FTL quote with Loadsmart’s brokerage.

To create a quote
1. On your left dashboard, click New Quote.
2. Select and enter the quote details:
- Required: Mode - default as FTL
- Required: Equipment - default as Flatbed
- Required: Pickup Date - default three days from today if a pickup date is not selected. The estimated delivery date will be automatically calculated.
- Required: Pickup and Delivery address, zip code, or facility - U.S. and Canadian addresses are supported
- Enter the zip code or full address of the facility
- or select from an existing facility
- or click Add new Facility, which will open a panel to add your new facility’s details and contact information.
- Optional: Click + ADD STOP to add up two additional stops between the pickup and delivery.
- Required: Shipping Item - shipping flatbed shipments will require details about the item. If a tarp is required, details will need to be provided regarding the tarp type and size.

- With tarp - select the Tarp Type

- Steel

3. Click
A rate will be returned from Loadsmart. Click Service Details to view the Loadsmart rating guidelines. Please note that Loadsmart’s spot rate will expire after 24 hours.

100% Acceptance Rate and Line of Credit
Loadsmart offers 100% acceptance rate for quotes booked within 24-hours of creating a quote. Please see Loadsmart Rate Details for more information.

To book a quote with Loadsmart
1. Click to proceed to the shipment page. Please note Loadsmart’s rate will expire after 24 hours.
2. Enter the full address of the Pickup and Delivery locations.
You will not be able to complete your booking with Loadsmart if the complete addresses are not provided. If the complete pickup or delivery address was not quoted, select/add the facility addresses on the Checkout page. Proceed to Step 3 if the complete pickup and delivery addresses were quoted.
If the updated pickup/delivery address exceeds 15 miles from the original zip code quoted, an error message will be triggered, and an option to Refresh Quote will be available to refresh Loadsmart’s rate according to the updated addresses.
3. Select a payment method:
- Line of Credit
- Credit Card
4. Click . This will direct you to the shipment page of the quote.
